Please note:  NEW Florida Community Grant Administrator
                    Recie Duncan, suprdun@us.ibm.com; 251-340-1950.

E-WEEK VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED:

IBM Tampa Bay is proud to again participate in the worldwide eWeek initiative which encourages students to pursue careers in engineering.  If you have a child in school or have been volunteering with a school, this is the perfect opportunity for you.  The Tampa Bay eWeek is again lead by Mark Nusekabel who has all the tools (and give aways) necessary for you to make a presentation to children from kindergarten through high school age.  And you don't have to be an Engineer to present as there are DVD's available to do all the work.  Presentations may be made anytime from now through April so if you are interested, please contact Mark soon to secure your supplies.  CONTACT: Mark Nusekabel zedot@us.ibm.com or 813-774-7725.

The ECCC National Team is now accepting nominations for the 2008 ECCC Approved Charities List.

IBM employees should compile a nomination package which must include the following items in order to be considered for addition to the Approved Charities List.  Only one nomination per employee will be accepted each year.  All nomination packages should be received by the campaign office no later than May 1st in order to be considered for the Fall Campaign.  The package must include:

1.  A nomination letter from the IBM employee (this must include employee serial number, name, location, e-mail address and phone number).  The letter can be a one-line statement indicating the employee’s desire to add the nominated organization to the ECCC Approved Charities List.
2.  A copy of the IRS 501(c)(3) letter
3.  The organizations Federal Identification Number (tax ID number).
4.  The organization’s mission statement on current letterhead, which should include full address and telephone numbers, e-mail and website information (if agency has e-mail and/or website).
5.  A copy of the most recently available externally audited financial statement.  If an externally audited financial statement is not available, then a copy of the agency’s latest tax return must be included in the package.
6.  A list of the board of directors.

It is the responsibility of the employee/retiree to submit a complete package to the National Campaign Office.  Sending the agency’s URL is not sufficient and will be rejected.

A complete package, accompanied by the employee’s nomination letter should be sent to the National Campaign Office as follows:

                        Bill Macnamara
                        IBM National ECCC Office
                        M/D 315
                        1 North Castle Drive
                        Armonk, NY  10504

Or, if the documents are available softcopy, the nomination package can be sent to uscamp@us.ibm.com.
