The program provides referrals to Medicaid, Medicare, the Department of Insurance, and insurance counseling resources like SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elderly).

Site provides a listing of local-area Elder Helplines, as well as a variety of information regarding health insurance issues for seniors. The West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging is a private not-for-profit corporation which administers public funds and private grants and donations for elder services in Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Highlands and Hardee Counties.
