PICNIC DIRECTIONS AND CONTACT INFORMATION
UPPER TAMPA BAY COUNTY PARK – PALM SHELTER

DOUBLE BRANCH ROAD NEAR HILLSBOROUGH AVE.
If coming from the west on Hillsborough
Avenue/SR580, Double Branch Road is 8 tenths of a mile east of Racetrack Road (a
traffic light and the border between Pinellas & Hillsborough counties). The
right hand lane becomes the turn lane into Double Branch Road.
If coming from the east on Hillsborough Avenue/SR580, Double Branch Road is 4 miles west of Sheldon Road (1 mile west of the Countryway Blvd. traffic light). You want to be in the left hand lane for the left turn onto Double Branch Road. There was traffic light construction underway at the Double Branch turnoff at Hillsborough which might be completed by the time of the picnic.
The entrance to Upper Tampa Bay County Park is on the right about 1 mile south of Hillsborough Avenue.
Follow signs to the PALM SHELTER.
Please park in designated Parking spots.

ACTIVITIES
The park has self guided nature walks, an area to launch canoes, fishing (bring your rod), and an open field near our shelter. There is a horseshoe pit, a volleyball net and room for a softball game. Please call Judy if you can bring any sports equipment to the picnic.
CHAIRS!!
Please bring some “beach chairs” for extra sitting if at all possible. Mark the chairs with your name to prevent problems when everyone leaves for the day.
P.S. Yes, Whaley’s is the caterer! Come enjoy their great food again.
