Welcome To Our Web Site
The purpose of the IBM Tampa Bay Retiree Club is to
provide opportunities for retired IBM employees to maintain relationships
with others who shared their work experience, and to participate in social
activities which might enhance their retirement years. The type and range of
activities will be determined by the membership through the Retiree Council
and periodic surveys. Activities such as planned social events, special
topic seminars, and other social activities such as fishing, golf, etc.,
will be facilitated by the club. Members may suggest activities to the
Council at any time. Only the desire and willingness of members to
participate will limit the range of activities.
Secondary purposes are to
provide ongoing information and education about the company, pension plans,
and health benefits, which may be of interest to the members, and to
encourage retirees, whose skills and capabilities are broad and deep, to
participate in IBM community service and volunteer activities.
The IBM
Retiree Club is not an officially sponsored or funded IBM organization.
Membership is voluntary, with no annual membership fee. An informal
organizational structure will be maintained, with chairpersons assigned to
lead specific activities based on interests.
